SCOTT ANNESLEY

GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT

I Started my greenkeeping career in my native Australia at the Australian Golf Course, Sydney as an apprentice greenkeeper in 2006. Upon completion of my apprenticeship, I travelled to the USA in 2011 and started my first internship at the Congressional Country Club for the 2011 US Open. My second internship was at Pebble Beach Golf Links in 2012. My final internship was with the St Andrews Golf links in Scotland where I worked on all links trust courses including the Old Course.

I joined Troon International and was asked to be involved in the construction and grow in of Velaa Private Island in the Maldives as the Golf Course Superintendent where I stayed for 4 years.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to be a part of the Construction team at Royal Greens Golf and Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City, Jeddah, after the construction I moved into the Assistant Superintendent position where we prepared the course for the first European Tour event in 2019.

After Royal Greens I was assigned to take on another project with Troon international at Victoria Golf and Country Club, Sri Lanka as the Golf Course Superintendent, with a full course renovation. The project was completed within 2 years and at this point I seized the opportunity to join the team at Golf Saudi in December 2020 as Golf Course Superintendent at Dirab Golf & Country Club.
